The fools can't follow the example of China and India. India announced yesterday that they won't try to control emissions. In other words they would reject "Cap and Trade", if they had to decide. "India cannot and will not take emission reduction targets because poverty eradication and social and economic development are first and over-riding priorities," a statement on behalf of Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said.
"A legally binding emission reduction target endangers India's energy conservation, food security and transport, he said."
May I suggest that "Cap and Trade" will do exactly the same here in the United States. Now let's take a look at China.
China refuses to cut carbon emissions. Qin Gang, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, said that China was still a developing country and its priority was to develop its economy, alleviate poverty and raise living standards. “Given that, it is natural for China to have some increase in emissions, so it is not possible for China to accept a binding or compulsory target.” he said.
Does the United States want to quit developing, quit alleviating poverty, and quit raising living standards?
Senators; take a lesson from India and China. Americans; don't fall for "Cap and Trade".
Fool Rule scares me to death!
they aren't misguided...they just don't care. they are using it as a way to grab more power away from the people. Ofcourse they are gonna make us look like fools, they've been doing that for months now.
I tell ya what I wish Sanford would shut up already and resign. I mean I really don't want to hear him tell anymore details of his "forbidden love". He was married, if he wanted to be single and play the field he should've manned up and divorced his wife first. I'm seeing that alot of SC Repubs are calling for him to step down, as well he should.
maybe but from what i've seen his wife is a strong willed woman. if i was Sanford I wouldn't go to sleep anywhere near this woman. I just keep getting flashbacks to the Bobbits from the 90's
with one eye open i'd bet
Cap and trade is a very good idea - if you live in a greenhouse!
Unfortunately setting strict emissions standards for only ourselves will hurt our economy even worse, and leave the real polluting countries with an upper hand: cheaper products, better trade balance, better economy. There are no real enticement for them to stop polluting, whatsoever.
Who figured this would be a good idea in an America in recession? Oh - him...
